Charities Act Dromoland

A series of information nights has been arranged to outline to Parish Finance Committees to outline some of the implications for parishes arising from the implementation of the Charities Act 2009.

The meetings are of particular interest to members of Parish Finance Committees and those who prepare the annual parish accounts.

The presentations will be led by John Lillis, the Diocesan Financial Administrator, Mr. David Williams, the Diocesan External Accountant and Michael O'Sullivan, the promoter of "Accounts in 1" Accounting Software. There will be opportunities to engage with the presenters to clarify any issue that might arise.

The Charities Act will greatly alter the landscape by which charities operate and it is important that all involved are kept informed. 

All meetings are scheduled to begin at 8.00pm and the following are the dates and venues:

Wenesday 26th November 2014          The Inn at Dromoland, Newmarket-on-Fergus

Monday 1st December 2014                The Bellbridge House Hotel, Spanish Point

Tuesday 2nd December 2014              The Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh

It is anticipated that the meetings should conclude at about 9.30pm with Tea/Coffee
