Fr. Ger Fitzgerald is planning an exhibition to mark 180 years of liturgical life and celebration in the Cathedral of Ss. Peter and Paul in Ennis. The exhibition is planned for Advent.
In 1961 Canon Pat Taffee took up his first appointment in the Diocese after his return from a five year Ministry in Florida. He was appointed a curate in the parish of Doonbeg where he spent 12 very happy years. Shortly after his appointment to Doonbeg, a family in the parish passed on to him a copy of Challoner Bible dated 1872. For the past fifty years Canon Pat has had the bible in his possession. Recently he handed the bible over to Fr. Tom Hogan Adm The Cathedral Ennis for use in a Liturgical exhibition that Fr. Ger Fitzgerald CC is preparing for in advent to celebrate 180 years of Liturgical life in the Cathedral.
Our Photo shows Fr. Ger Fitzgerald, Canon Pat Taffe and Fr. Tom Hogan Adm.
