Diocesan 2011 Financial Accounts

Bishop Kieran O’Reilly thanked all who contributed to the financial support of the Diocese of Killaloe for their continued generosity in difficult economic times.  

The accounts show a generous commitment to the work of the Diocese on the part of Parishioners, Priests and Benefactors in the last year. Annual expenditure before Loan Interest has been reduced by €157,000 over the last three years. In addition to the generosity of parishioners and priests throughout the Diocese in support of their local Church, the response to appeals in relation to Missionary activity and support for Trócaire in 2011 meant that over € 332,000 was made available from collections throughout the Diocese for these causes. An additional amount of € 246,000 was provided by parishes towards Famine relief in East Africa in 2011.
