Dear Friends throughout the Diocese,
As the opening of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin, from the 10th -17th June, draws near, I would like to express my gratitude to you
for the donations which you have given to the four National Collections which have been taken up for the Congress since 2009. Your support means that Ireland is able to extend a warm welcome to visitors to Dublin from Ireland as well as from around the world for this very important event in the life of the Catholic Church.
I know that you will be with us, if not in person then in spirit, as the Church hosts this very important occasion, which has as its theme, The Eucharist - Communion with Christ and with one another. I kindly ask you to keep us in your prayers.
If you would like to offer further support to the Congress, please give your donation to your local priest. Your generosity is deeply appreciated, the full financial details of the Congress will be published in due course.
Yours in Jesus Christ,
Bishop Kieran O'Reilly
