Pope Francis inaugurated the Holy Year of Mercy in the Vatican on Tuesday, December 8th, by opening the Holy Door in the atrium of the Basilica of St Peter’s. This Jubilee Year of Mercy from the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception until 20 November 2016 which is the solemnity of Christ the King.
