His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed Fr. Fintan Monahan, (a priest of the Archdiocese of Tuam), as Bishop of Killaloe. The appointment was announced on July 29th at a press conference held in the Ennis Parish Pastoral Centre.

Annual Killaloe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday 3rd July 2016, sharing with Ferns as we have in previous years.   Led by Rev. Des Hillery.       Ceremonies begin at 2:30pm. For the second year, the diocese in conjunction with Knock Youth Ministry, is trying to include as many young people as possible to add a “Youth Dimension” to the pilgrimage.

The death has taken place of Fr. John Slattery (Retired PP of Puckane). Fr John was a native of Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary and was a priest of the Diocese of Killaloe for 52 years.

To illustrate the quality of our young musicians, singers and dancers in our Primary Schools across the Killaloe Diocese in the participation of children and their talents in our liturgies.
