Parish as Oasis – A notice from FCJ Spirituality Centre
On Sat Nov 4th from 10 am – 3pm, we will host Dr Ciara Murphy – one of the authors of ‘Parish as Oasis’.
Ciara will offer 2 presentations: A background into why Catholic parishes care about the call to care for our common home and a series of concrete examples or practical experiments from parishes ‘on the ground’. I am also inviting some local groups to share their resources and ideas as encouragement.
This workshop will be a great introduction to those in your parish who might want to work on this – it will offer the green activist a Christian perspective, and the parish activist a green perspective! It might also be a nice way to invite people into a parish ministry, as they can meet after the gathering to speak about what they learnt and how to proceed.
