On-going Promotion of Trócaire – Lent 2019

I would appreciate it if all in the diocese of Killaloe might continue to promote the work of Trócaire in your parish and schools.

As you are better aware than I the diocese has a long established tradition of supporting Trócaire most generously in many ways.  The last director of Trócaire, Mr. Eamonn Meehan, a native of Kilmaley has just retired and will receive an honorary doctorate from Maynooth next month for the great work he has done over a lifetime with the organisation.  We wish him well in his retirement.

Having joined Trócaire on two recent international trips, one to Kenya and the other to Malawi I can personally vouch for the outstanding work they continue to in many developing countries.

Many thanks to our Killaloe Trócaire Rep, Fr. Brendan Moloney and the staff of the diocesan office for the assistance they provide with the annual collections.

You will probably have received the annual Trócaire box at this stage along with data on the theme of this year.

I encourage you and thank you for the ongoing work you do in helping the poor people of the developing world.

Yours sincerely,

+ Fintan Monahan
